After Your Offer is Accepted

Key deadlines and next steps

Congratulations! Your offer was accepted. In Massachusetts, you typically have 7-14 days to sign the Purchase and Sale Agreement. Several important deadlines follow.

Work on Multiple Tasks in Parallel

Schedule your inspection, contact attorneys, finalize pre-approval, and review the P&S draft simultaneously. Don't wait to finish one before starting another.

Don't Make Big Financial Changes

Until closing, avoid large purchases, new credit, job changes, moving money, or co-signing loans. Lenders re-verify your finances before closing—changes can jeopardize your mortgage.
